Dead Men Walking

Posted by Samuel Benjamin on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, In : Health Politics

Last night, I was invited to a “boys” night by a good friend. The ”boys” were all MD's- specialists- mostly guys that I know and respect by the way, as individuals and physicians. I have not socialized with them for a very long time and I was looking forward to the experience. I want folks to have a choice of their physicians and health care institutions. NO AMERICAN CITIZEN should go without health care coverage.

On the other hand, who is going to pay for this?  How are we going to finance more expense in a country that is on its knees financially? My greatest fear in the next year or s...

Community Health Centers

Posted by Samuel Benjamin on Thursday, January 29, 2009, In : Health Politics

These are primary care centers, typically run with a heart but GREAT inefficiency and with some indifference from the non medical doctor employees- like government employees....
