Do faucets have lead?

Most faucets purchased prior to 1997 were constructed of brass or chrome-plated brass containing up to 8 percent lead (the main metals in brass are copper and zinc). Water sitting overnight (or for several hours) in a brass faucet tends to leach lead from the brass faucet interior which may produce relatively high lead levels in the first draw of drinking water. These are the only recommended lip balms from the Environmental Working Group- (ewg.org) a TRULY responsable not for profit organization. I would consider anything else to be either potentially dangerous, ineffective or both! Brands like Blistex, CVS, Neutrogena, Carmex, Cover Girl, Chapstick, etc stink and you should rid yourself of these brands and find the below mentioned instead. Lead has been found in ourses which is a MAJOR issue because even a samll amount of lead is EXTREMELY toxic. I got this tipf rom someone on Twitter. This is FRIGHTENING!!!!! Here are the stores where the purses are sold and below all of the brands. Use gloves. Put them in a paper bag. Bring them back to the store you bouight the purse from and INSIST on a refund. Pthalates are plastic softeners and they are found in many things incluidng bottles, plastics on the dashboard of cars, your nail polish, toys and even in the coatings of prescription and over the counter drugs like omeprazole (generic for Prilosec used for ulcers and heartburn treatment).
